Wind Vintage and Bob's Watches Team Up for Rolex Box and Papers Online Auction

I am excited to announce the launch of the "Rolex Box and Papers" auction by Bob's Watches in collaboration with Wind Vintage, running now through September 12. We have discussed the idea of teaming up together for an online auction for some time and put together the concept and watches earlier this summer. What I especially like is that all the watches come from original owners and original families. They are nice, "honest" watches, just the way I like them.

For those that don't know, Bob's Watches is based in Huntington Beach, California and is one of the leading sellers of pre-owned Rolex watches online and had sales of $32 million last year with a projection of over $40 million in sales for this year. Paul Altieri started the company as the Rolex Exchange with the idea of listing the "buy" and "sell" prices for Rolex models. In my opinion, his company and concept has been one of the top five reasons for the massive growth in Rolex sales and demand the last few years. He is a "market maker" and gives transparency to the pre-owned market as well as helps create liquidity in the market by the efficient operation he has built for buying and selling watches.

I am also excited to announce that all proceeds from Lot 2, a Rolex GMT-Master reference 16710 with box and papers (of course) from 1991, will be donated to the Horological Society of New York (HSNY), a vitally important organization for promoting the appreciation and study of watches.
