Watch Spotting at The Atlanta Watch Society

Words & Photography by Charlie Dunne

Following the evening at Sid Mashburn, Eric Wind was invited to give a presentation to the Atlanta Watch Society. The event was coordinated via Atlanta Watch Society’s Founder Giancarlo “Gianni” Rosselli (@gentilogio), Founding Member Josh Ramos (@theoryontime), and our good friend Max Braun (@mrbwatches). The event was attended by approximately 80 collectors from the Atlanta area in addition to collectors that came down from North and South Carolina. The famous YouTuber Jeb Brooks was also in the house!

Atlanta watch historian Jeff Stein (Founder of OnTheDash) was in the building wearing his 18K gold Heuer Camaro reference 5228 and on his right wrist he wore his Rolex Submariner reference 5513 that Eric sold him. To Eric’s delight Stein gave Eric’s performance “a solid “A” for the presentation” and let him know ”that the “A+” is easily within reach.” Our friend Chris Singerman showed up a second night in a row as well - this time wearing his TAG Heuer x The Rake & Revolution "Blue Dreamer" Carrera. One of the more impressive watches was Gianni’s gold OMEGA Constellation that he inherited from his grandfather. Preserved in spectacular, unpolished condition with a beautiful two-tone dial. It was a marvel for us to see.

The passion and enthusiasm for watches from the members of the Atlanta Watch Society was inspiring. Eric and I can’t wait to come back again one day!
