Audemars Piguet Diamond Dial Reference 5051PT VZSS Movement in Platinum Unpolished w/ Extract

This is one of the most beautiful timepieces we have ever held and it is certainly for the connoisseur! It is an Audemars Piguet which features the legendary VZSS movement and amazingly is a platinum case. Based on my research, this is only the fourth AP in platinum with VZSS movement to be discovered to the market. Even more remarkably, it appears this watch is on its original black alligator strap, has its original platinum AP buckle, and appears to have not been serviced since it left Le Brassus almost 70 years ago. I am very bullish about the long-term value of any great AP with the iconic VZSS movement, you can read the great article by Ben Clymer in HODINKEE Magazine Volume 5 to learn more.

For those looking for a grail Audemars Piguet timepiece, this watch is a great option! It should be in their museum to be quite honest. We believe the platinum case is unpolished. It measures 36mm diameter and 41mm lug to lug. The platinum case was in fact produced by Henri Jeanneret of Le Locle!

We do not know the service history, but it is running great. It does not come with box or papers. It does come with an Extract from The Archives!

Audemars Piguet Reference 5043BC in White Gold on Bracelet Unpolished

This Audemars Piguet wristwatch is an incredibly special timepiece. It is an ultra-thin model dating to the 1950s-1960s. These watches were among the thinnest models on the market during the era and are very seldom seen in this condition. The case is white gold and we believe it is unpolished. The diameter is 32mm. The dial is in pristine condition which is often not the case as these watches were very susceptible to water ingress. Impressively, the watch was found with its original bracelet which is so special and uncommon. A similar model in yellow gold is in the Audemars Piguet museum - with a Milanese style bracelet.

For those looking for a tremendous Audemars Piguet timepiece, this watch is a great option!

We do not know the service history, but it is running great. It does not come with box or papers.

Schochét “Double Eagle” by Augustus Saint-Gaudens Coin Watch in 18K Yellow Gold Unpolished

Coin watches are remarkable creations which are both extremely uncommon and very difficult to create. Made from two coins, they are an interesting blend of horology, numismatics, and history. More often than not, these coins would begin as legal tender, then would require a skilled coin maker to dissect two sides, carve an interior within each to house the timepiece, and finally reconstruct the two sides in a hinged fashion. The most sophisticated watchmakers and case makers were involved in creating these timepieces and this Schochét is an exceptional example of this art. We believe the watch features an F. Piguet calibre. It is crafted from the “Double Eagle” by Augustus Saint-Gaudens shows lady Liberty walking forward with rays of sun in the background and the reverse shows an eagle flying with similar sun rays behind it. Many consider it the most beautiful coin ever minted.

The case and dial are both very well preserved. These are the ultimate horological accessories, and I would love to own one in my personal collection one day. I have owned a sterling silver Movado coin watch, but the craftsmanship from the $20 gold coin watches are on a much different level. We are elated to offer this timepiece.

We do not know the service history, but it is running great. It does not come with box or papers. The watch has great provenance from an American horologist.

Rolex Explorer Reference 1016 with Mark 1 Frog Foot Dial

Vulcain Cricket Blue Dial Waterprotected Model Unpolished

This Vulcain Cricket reference S2325B is one of the many great models from the 1960s and 1970s. The cases on these models are among my favorites of all Vulcain Crickets. This example is unpolished and the diameter is 34.5mm and 39mm lug-to-lug. Both Eric and Charlie have had these models in their personal collections and love them! One detail to point out is that the grooved hour markers are incredible and super interesting to admire under a loupe. They are very uncommon and I imagine it would have been a very difficult design to produce.

The dial is has a beautiful blue color and features the applied V-logo and thin “Vulcain” font which is less compact compared to the earliest models. The watch is powered by the calibre MSR S2. The alarm on this example is quite loud, and will surely turn some heads!
