Gallet "Jim Clark" MultiChron 12
Gallet made some of my favorite chronographs of all time and, in my opinion, the "Jim Clark" Multichron 12 is among the most special watches they have made. This example is one of the nicest I have seen. It appears to be all original has a beautiful glossy black dial. I purchased it from a watchmaker who got it from the original owner years ago and kept it until recently. It dates to circa 1965 and has its original tritium luminous material in a beautiful yellowish color. In addition, the Excelsior Park 40 movement was just recently serviced. When people ask me about great vintage watches that are under $10,000, I tell them to consider Gallet. The present watch is one of the finest "Jim Clark" chronographs I have seen and in addition to its spectacular dial it has an unpolished 38mm diameter case with the wide, beautiful bevels on the lugs.
