Heuer Carrera Sunray DX Reference 3647 Unpolished w/ Ephemera
This Heuer Carrera reference 3647 is a very special example dating to circa 1967 and formerly belonged to Gary Goss of the legendary Sunray DX racing team. Goss had the critical role of transporting the Sunray DX team and vehicles throughout the United States to racetrack competitions. These watches were given out to approximately 12 members of the Sunray DX team. These watches are highly elusive and among the incredible watches with automotive racing history.
We believe the case is unpolished with heavy wear. It is powered by the Valjoux calibre 92.
You can read more about the origins of the Carrera in the in-depth article that I wrote back in 2013.
This watch was sold at Sotheby's Fine Watches sale in 2024.
The watch does not come with box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running strong. It comes with ephemera from original owner.
PRICE: $29,000 (Item SBUXYT4027)
