IWC RAF Pilot Mk 11 Unpolished

This IWC Mark 11 / XI is a great pilot’s watch with an interesting history. The case is stainless steel and measures 36mm in diameter and approximately 46mm lug-to-lug. The case appears to be unpolished. The dial also features the broad arrow, a denotation that refers to state property belonging to the Ministry of Defense. It was originally issued in 1950 and likely saw many years of service for the Royal Air Force / RAF. It has been relumed and reprinted in the 1960s by the Royal Air Force as a transition to tritium.
