Longines “Tre Tacche” Royal Canadian Navy R.G. Buckingham Reference 3777 Unpolished

Finding special time-only Longines watches from the 1930s-1940s is quite difficult. This Longines “Tre Tacche”. The steel case measures 30.5mm in diameter. It measures 37mm lug to lug. It features a radium luminous dial. It is powered by the manual wind caliber 10L. The caseback is engraved “R.G. BUCKINGHAM R.C.N.V.R JAN. 1-41”.

After researching the name on the case-back inscription, we believe that the watch may have been worn by the original owner - Lt Robert George Buckingham - during D-Day.

According Lognines the watch was invoiced on 14 October 1940 to the US agent for Longines. An Extract can be ordered for $150 if interested.

The watch does not come with a box or papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.
