Lucien Piccard Luccard - "Paul Newman" Style Dial

This is an outrageously cool watch from the early 1970s. I first came across one of these in a collection of watches an important estate in San Francisco that we sold at Christie's and then set about finding one. I discussed it in a "Crown & Caliber Watch Stories" video you can see on my Press page. Notably, it has an interesting design next to the minute register like on the "Paul Newman" Yacht-Master Daytona prototype watches, whose dials were also made by Singer. I purchased this watch in all-original condition from an estate picker on eBay and feel it was a very fortunate and lucky find. I especially love the unusually large crown, which is clearly original and is signed LP. I think the crown was likely made that large so winding the watch would be easy, particularly with gloves. This watch was just recently serviced by a highly-renowned watchmaker and is currently on view at the Rowing Blazers Clubhouse in New York City at 161 Grand Street. Price: $3,500
