OMEGA Speedmaster Blue Metallic Dial Reference 145.012-67

The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957, initially created for drivers in automotive racing. However, it would reach iconic status by eventually reaching spaceflight qualification by NASA amongst several of the highest grade chronographs of its era.

This is an incredible and rare Speedmaster Professional reference 145.012-67. The watch dates to circa 1967. It features a very rare blue metallic dial, which is very uncommon and special. These are very stunning dials and were all likely put on during service given the gap between the lume plots and the edge of the dial as well as font! It is estimated that only a small number of these are known to the market and they are highly coveted by collectors including Speedmaster101.

This watch is powered by the iconic calibre 321 made by Lemania for OMEGA, which was recently re-released and garnered great reception and excitement from a large portion of watch collectors. The crown has been replaced.

The case has been lightly polished. The dimensions are 42mm in diameter with a lug width of 20mm for straps or bracelets.

To learn more about the Omega Speedmaster, you can watch ‘Reference Points: Understanding The Entire Lineage Of The Omega Speedmaster’ video I made with Ben Clymer in 2015 (and corresponding article).

The watch does not come with box and papers or Extract from Archives. It was recently serviced and is running great! The hands appears to be original, but the hour register hands appears to be replaced.

It is paired on a 1039 OMEGA bracelet dating to 1967 with correct 516 end links that is period correct and that we added.
