Patek Philippe Nautilus Reference 3700/1A
The Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3700/1A is one of the most iconic designs from Gérald Charles Genta. The introduction of the model marked the first true sports watch from the manufacturer in 1976. Along with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, it ushered in the world of integrated stainless steel watches which are adored by watch enthusiasts today.
The watch dates to the late 1970s. The dial is a service replacement dial that appears to be from the late 1980s without accent - although is extremely attractive.
The watch will fit a wrist approximately 7 inches. It measures 42mm in diameter.
The watch comes from a prominent collection of vintage sports watches and incredible independents. For those looking for an incredible Nautilus 3700, look no further!
Patek Philippe created a spare 3700/1 case for the watch for the owner during an expensive service that is unpolished and is on the watch. The case the dial and movement is in now is unpolished and is the new case. The case serial matches the original. The bracelet is original to the watch and is lightly polished. We believe they made a new case because the previous one lost water resistance due to age and lightly polishing.
It comes with a spare hand set. The original 3700/1 case comes with the watch. A copy of the service documents is included.
It is the 3700/1A with the wider 16mm bracelet than the 3700/11A that tapers more.
The watch does not come with box and papers. We do not know the service history but it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
