Rolex Day-Date Diamond Dial and Diamond Bezel Reference 18238 in 18K Yellow Gold Unpolished w/ Box
This Rolex Day-Date reference 18238 is an exceptional example. It has an an 18K yellow gold case. The case and bracelet are unpolished and in great condition. The watch features an E serial number dating to circa 1990.
This has an unusual factory bezel with Rolex in a cartouche at 6:00. It’s called a “cartouche bezel” and both classy and trashy at the same time - something that only could have been conceived in the 1980s. Whoever received this watch as a gift from Darlene in 1991 clearly didn’t wear it much - maybe just too gaudy!
It comes with box. It does not come with papers. It comes with a notebook and catalog. We do not know the service history of this watch, but it is running well. It has been water tested and passed at 5 bar.
