Rolex Day-Date Reference 1803 in White Gold Unpolished

The Rolex Day-Date was introduced in 1956 and was the first watch to display the date, as well as the fully-spelled-out day of the week. This reference 1803 is an awesome watch with a very attractive silver “doorstop” dial. It is non luminous. The 18K-white gold case measures 36mm in diameter (43mm lug-to-lug). This particular example has a 2.27 serial dates to circa 1970. It is paired on a leather strap and steel buckle.

The watch does not come with box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 3 bar.
