Rolex Daytona Reference 6240 w/ Black Dial

This is a very attractive and extremely rare Rolex Daytona reference 6240. It is the earliest run of the 6240 with chrome plated brass pushers. The watch dates to circa 1966 and features a 1.29M serial number. The dial is in nice condition with attractive lume. It features the “Small Daytona” dial with MK1 bezel.

The case has been polished in the past.

It was originally sold on a Jubilee bracelet which comes with the watch. It is paired on a Rolex Rivet 7205 bracelet dating to 1969.

Finding an early 6240 Daytona is very rare and this is just an incredible watch.

The watch does not come box and papers. We do not know the service histroy, but it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
