Rolex Daytona Reference 6263 in 18K Yellow Gold Unpolished

This is an outstanding Daytona reference 6263 in gold with a champagne dial and black acrylic bezel. It is one of the nicest 6263s with champagne dials I have ever seen. These are among the most desirable vintage Rolex models. This example features an 18k yellow gold case. The case appears to be unpolished. The watch measures approximately 37mm in diameter.

The watch dates to circa 1980 with a 6.04M serial. The black acrylic bezel appears to be original and is in great condition while the crown and pushers appear to be the original 18k gold and the pushers are the correct Mark 2 pushers for this serial range. The bracelet is a Rolex reference 7205 with 71 end links which are correct. It features an E date code dating to circa 1980. This bracelet would be valued at around $25,000-$35,000 with these end links and are extremely hard to find. It appears to be original to the watch.

These are among the least common 4-digit Rolex Daytonas, so finding a great example in gold is quite rare.

It comes with a Rolex box. It does not come with papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.

Gold Daytona reference 6263 examples are among the least common 4-digit Rolex Daytonas, so finding a great example is extremely uncommon. In fact, I have never seen an example of a 6263 with a champagne dial in this condition – it truly is rare and Charlie and I are ready to prostrate ourselves before the next owner.
