Rolex Daytona Reference 6263 Unpolished

This Rolex Daytona Reference 6263 is an amazing watch. The dial in fantastic condition with attractive lume. It has a nice warmth in the dial. It features the original Mk 1 bezel insert with the hooked 200. It includes the Mk 2 pushers which are correct. This watch has a 3.72M case serial number dating to circa 1974. This is close to the Big Eyes range of Daytonas, but technically the Big Eyes have the hour register almost touching the T SWISS T by 6:00. The Rolex Oyster Cosmograph text is located closer to the center post in this serial range, which we find extremely balanced and appealing on the wrist. It is powered by the manual-wind movement Caliber 727 made by Valjoux.

The watch is paired on a later 78350 Oyster bracelet with 571 end links with H date code dating to 1983. The case is crisp and appears to be unpolished. It measures 37mm in diameter. The bottom left lug has a slight bend - which could potentially be bent back into place..

The watch does not come with box or papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well and keeping good time. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
