Rolex Honeycomb Dial Oyster Perpetual Reference 6564 18K RG Unpolished

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 6564 is an incredible and special watch. The dial features a brilliant honeycomb texture with faceted hour markers. It was produced by Stern Freres and remains unrestored. These Oyster Perpetual models are extremely beautiful timepieces, but the special dial variants make for some of the most interesting Rolex watches of the 1950s. The case is an 18k faint rose gold, although it appears slightly yellow. It was catalogued as rose gold and sold for $101,300 at Phillips last month.

The case appears to be unpolished and is in excellent condition. The case measures 34mm in diameter. It is powered by the automatic-calibre 1030. The watch features a 193,XXX serial dating to circa 1956. For those looking for a sophisticated mid-century Oyster Perpetual, this is a brilliant option.
