Rolex Milgauss Ref. 116400 Black Dial Full Set Unpolished
When it comes to the antimagnetic wristwatches of the 1950s-1960s, several manufacturers produced what would go on to become iconic timepieces. Among those are the IWC Ingenieur, the Eberhard Scientigraf, the Omega Railmaster, as well as Patek Philippe’s reference 2570 / 2570-1 and 3417. However, one of the most beloved models orientated for the physicist or engineer of the day was none other than the Rolex Milgauss.
This Rolex Milgauss reference 116400 features the black dial with orange accents and iconic thunderbolt hand. The watch is in excellent and unpolished condition and is partially stickered. It measures 39mm in diameter (48mm lug-to-lug).
The watch comes as a “full set” with a box and papers. We do not know the full service history, but it is keeping great time. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar. The watch dates to 2016.
