Rolex “Red” Submariner 1680

This Rolex “Red” Submariner reference 1680 is a beautiful watch that came from the original owner, dating from circa 1972. The case is worn, but I believe it is unpolished. The dial is a “Mark 5” dial with open 6’s in 660 ft on the dial. The luminous material on the dial and hands has developed an interesting and rugged patina from use. The Red Submariner was the first Submariner model to feature a date and has a movement that was chronometer-certified. It remains one of the most distinctive and desirable Submariners to this day.

This watch does not include the original box and papers, has an automatic movement (Caliber 1575 made by Rolex), and is 40mm in diameter.
