Rolex Sigma Dial Floating Big Red Daytona Reference 6263 Unpolished Full Set

This Rolex “Floating Big Red” Daytona reference 6263 is an extremely rare variant with the “Sigma” dial. This is one of the earliest Big Reds made and it is the first silver Floating Big Red Sigma Daytona I have offered for sale. The Greek Sigma letters next to T SWISS T below 6:00 refers to the hour markers being made of white gold.

The dial is in great condition with bold red “Daytona” font and original tritium lume on the dial and in the hands. The white registers are extremely clean and beautiful.

The case appears to be unpolished. The bracelet has been lightly polished. This Daytona features its original rare “Mark 1” acrylic bezel (with “hooked 2” in 200).

The central seconds hand appears to be a replacement.

This watch has a 4.13 million case serial number dating to circa 1976. It measures 37mm in diameter. The Rolex Oyster solid link 78350 bracelet has the correct 571 end links.

The watch is fresh to market. The watch comes with box and papers. It was sold in Australia at Lindsays in 1980. We do not know the service history but it is running well.

It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
