Rolex Submariner PCG Ref. 5512 w/ Gilt Exclamation Dial
This Rolex Submariner reference 5512 is an awesome example with attractive pale yellow lume. It features a very well preserved gilt dial with both the chapter ring and exclamation point dial. It is a two-line dial which existed in the early reference 5512 Submariners before the introduction of the reference 5513.
The watch has a 69XXXX serial number dating to circa 1961. It is paired with a 7206 Oyster Rivet bracelet with the correct 80 end links dating to 1962. It features the Pointed-Crown-Guard (PCG) case style which was phased out in circa 1964. The case appears to have been lightly polished and remains thick and attractive. The gilt dial shows some signs of drg marks, and the hands have been color matched to the dial.
This watch does not come with a box or papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
