Rolex Tropical Paul Newman Mk II Daytona Reference 6263 Unpolished Full Set
This Rolex Daytona Reference 6263 is a trophy example with one of the most attractive MK II dials. The dial is in spectacular condition and the lume plots are fully intact, which is rare for vintage Daytonas. The subdials and outer track have turned tropical.
This watch has a 3.0M case serial number dating to circa 1972. It is powered by the manual-wind movement Caliber 727 made by Valjoux and is 37mm in diameter.
It features the correct Mark II screw-down pushers. It is paired on a folded Oyster bracelet dating to 1971. The case appears to be unpolished. It features what appears to be the original acrylic bezel, which is in great condition.
The comes with box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.
Finding a Paul Newman 6263 in this condition is extremely difficult. This is one of the most exceptional vintage Rolex watches we have sold all year.
