Tudor Snowflake reference 94010 “Hybrid” for Royal Canadian Navy

This an extremely rare, almost mythical, Tudor Submariner reference 94010 commonly called the “hybrid” model that was the inspiration for the current Tudor Black Bay series, with a more traditional dial with plots like a Rolex Submariner, but with the famous Tudor “Snowflake” hands. The present watch, along with most if not all of the “hybrid” models from the late 1970s, is thought to have been issued to the Royal Canadian Navy. A key feature is that all of the serial numbers start with 88 on these, this one is 887’XXX. It has an engraved number on the back of one lug. The Canadians were not as formal as other militaries in how they marked their issued watches. This watch is in outstanding condition with what I believe to be an unpolished case and with a C+I bracelet. It is for me an absolute grail watch and I feel proud to be able to offer it for sale.
