TUDOR X HODINKEE Heritage Ranger Reference 79910 Full Set Unpolished
Many people don’t know this, but the first TUDOR HODINKEE was not the HODINKEE Black Bay 58! Shockwaves are about to go around the world when you see this watch. Ask yourself, what happens when a TUDOR HODINKEE Black Bay 58 and a Heritage Ranger 79910 conceive a child? The answer could have been the following watch, but that would be too simple!
Four magical years prior to the HODINKEE Black Bay 58, this special watch - a Heritage Ranger reference 79910 - was given to high-performing (and high-ranking) HODINKEE employees. Rumor has it that these watches were given out as a Christmas bonus at the 2015 HODINKEE holiday party at Saxon+Parole (a restaurant and bar in New York City, known for its modern American cuisine and innovative cocktail program). Can you imagine what it would have been like to attend the party? While Eric and Charlie would have loved to be in attendance, sadly they were not invited!
It is purported that Kevin Rose (former billionaire-CEO of HODINKEE) hand selected the watches and gave them to each of the recipients for their holiday party. He was wearing George Cleverleys with reindeer accents (yes, from the Metta Catharina) The Silicon-Valley bad boy hand delivered them to everyone for their holiday party.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first one to come to market. It is not clear the number of examples that were produced, but we know it was very exclusive. It is no doubt rarer than the HODINKEE Black Bay 58, although this is a standard model and not special model outside of the engraving on the case back.
The watch has some wear, but is unpolished. It comes from a cool individual within the HODINKEE universe (original owner). The watch comes with papers and box.
This is a rare and fine example, and an even rarer opportunity to own a piece of HODINKEE history. Everyone will worship [when you when you show them the case back].
