Universal Geneve Pocket Watch Unpolished

This Universal Genève pocket watch is an amazing timepiece dating to the late 1950s or early 1960s. The case is unpolished and measures 40mm in diameter. The case is very cool and similar to the disco volante models of the era. It is powered by the automatic microrotor movement and has a display back. The dial is very attractive and features dauphine hands. This is a super rare and special pocket watch that was perhaps something meant for a traveling Universal Geneve representative to display the new “microtor” or microrotor movement. It is also in the “golf watch” style where it could be attached to a bag or kept in one’s pocket during a round of golf. Any automatic pocket watch is unusual, but one with the exhibition case back indicates that it was likely a sales sample / prototype for Universal Geneve.

It does not come with box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.
