Rolex Domino's Air-King 14000 Unpolished Box & Papers

The Rolex-Domino’s connection is perhaps the ultimate high-low collaboration. These watches were not made for purchase by the public, but as a way to reward Domino’s franchise owners who hit their sales targets.

All these watches were originally ordered through Schlanderer and Sons in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where Domino’s has its headquarters. In the past, these watches on the secondhand market were generally the least expensive Rolex a person could purchase as few people wanted a pizza logo like this on their dial. Dealers would buy them, swap out the Domino’s dial, and polish off the case back initials. Over the last year, however, they have gained a massive following. The watch features an engraving on the back with the recipient’s initials above “T.S.M.” for Thomas S. Monaghan, the founder of Domino’s. The engravings were made in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

You can learn about these watches in our video Collector Conversation: Tom Monaghan - Founder of Domino's Pizza - on the Domino's Rolex.

This version features the “tilted logo” that is the last version of Dominos’s Rolex watch with the logo on the dial. One could describe this as the first version of the tilted logo dial as later versions had Super-LumiNova luminous material and signatures below 6:00 that only say “Swiss Made”.

The watch features a T serial dating to 1996. The case appears to be unpolished.

Czapek Frozen Star Osmium Dial Limited Edition Full Set Unpolished

This Czapek Frozen Star is a limited edition watch of 38 pieces originally released at Watches and Wonders in 2022. It was met with incredible enthusiasm and was one of the most popular releases from the manufacturer. The stainless steel case, which measures 38.5mm in diameter, features an integrated bracelet design that supports both an original rubber strap with steel butterfly clasp, or original stainless steel bracelet, which both come with the watch. The watch features an exhibition caseback, displaying the in-house SXH5 movement with platinum rotor. The star of the show however, is the crystallized Osmium dial. Osmium is a notoriously difficult metal to work with as it is incredibly hard and dense.

This watch comes as a full set, with box and papers. We do not know the full service history but it is running well.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Ref. E168 in 18k Yellow Gold Unpolished

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic is, in my view, one of the most elegant “tool watches” ever made. Designed to withstand high magnetic fields and introduced during the “International Geophysical Year” that ran from July 1957 to December 1958, the Geophysic was introduced primarily in steel with a very small number made in gold. This example is in phenomenal condition, the case appears to be unpolished. The watch features a manual-wind movement (Caliber 478BWSbr made by Jaeger-LeCoultre), and measures approximately 35mm in diameter and 43mm lug-to-lug. It is paired with a green leather strap and an 18k yellow gold signed JLC buckle.

The watch does not come with a box or papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.

Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 1675 w/ Racing Provenance

The Rolex GMT-Master was originally designed for Pan Am pilots in the 1950s and continues to be a flagship model for Rolex to this day. The reference 1675 was introduced in 1959 and remained in production until 1980.

This example features a 3.38M serial number dating to circa 1973. It is paired on a Rolex Oyster bracelet dated to 1972 which is likely original to the watch. It features a highly attractive, and beautifully faded bezel insert. The case has been polished in the past.

The watch comes with a letter from Eloise Rulon-Miller, wife of race car driver John Rulon-Miller who details purchasing the watch in 1974, and gifting it to her husband. Rulon-Miller wore the watch throughout his racing career, including in 1976 at Le Mans where he won his class in a Porsche 911 RSR. The letter is accompanied by several photographs of the watch on Rulon-Miller and his car.
