Patek Philippe Ref 5970G-001 Unpolished Full Set

The Patek Philippe reference 5970 is an iconic model. This perpetual calendar chronograph was the successor to the Patek Philippe reference 3970. The reference 5970 was produced over the period of 2004-2010. It incorporates an aggressive lug design and highly legible dial which collectors love.

The reference 5970R is powered by the calibre CH 27-70 Q which is a highly praised movement in Patek Philippe circles originating through the Lemania calibre 2310.

This example is in white gold. The case appears to be unpolished and measures 39.5mm in diameter not including the crown. It is 46mm lug-to-lug. The watch dates to 2007 per Certificate of Origin.

Rolex Mk 0 Great White Sea-Dweller Reference 1665

This Rolex “Great White” Sea-Dweller reference 1665 is a very attractive watch with the earliest MK 0 dial. The MK 0 is the rarest of Great Whites and is highly collectible for those that appreciate the nuance in vintage Sea-Dwellers. These dials feature the “Sea-Dweller” font with a slightly longer line of depth rating in addition to a closed 6.

It features very attractive warm colored lume.

The case and bracelet have been polished. The lug-to-lug length is 47mm and it measures 40mm in diameter excluding the crown. It features the Mk I dial.

It dates to circa 1976 with a 4.13M serial. It is paired on an folded Oyster bracelet with VD date code dating to circa 1979.

Rolex Daytona Double Swiss Underline Reference 6239

This extremely early Rolex Daytona reference 6239 is a very cool example with a rare “Double Swiss Underline” dial. It was part of the earliest crop of Daytona watches made by Rolex It has the rare and early “Mark 1” 275 bezel with dashes next to the numbers. It is a very honest example which came from the son of the original owner.. The case has been lightly polished, but is in strong shape. The case has a 923,XXX serial and dates to circa 1963.

It is paired on a Gay Freres 7205 bracelet with 57 end links dating to 1967.

A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Annual Calendar Reference 238.026 18K WG Full Set

This A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Annual Calendar is calculated to remain accurate for nearly 123 years provided it is kept wound. The white gold case measures 40mm in diameter. The watch also features a solid silver dial that displays a moon phase, date, day of the week and month. It’s powered by a manually wound movement, the L051.3.

This Rolex GMT-Master reference 16753 is an awesome model which has become more appreciated by collectors in recent years. This example dates to circa 1986 with a 9.3M serial. The case has been polished. The dial is extremely attractive. It has a relumed 5 o’clock marker which is odd, but our colleague Gavin says “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!” which we love! Perhaps that was the inspiration!.

Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph W1546551 in Platinum Full Set

This Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir is an elegant chronograph operated by (as the name suggests in French) a singular pusher built into the winding crown. The white gold “tortue” case measures about 38mm in diameter at the widest point. The lug-to-lug is approximately 48mm. The watch features an exhibition caseback and sapphire cabochon crown. The movement was a collaboration between Vianney Halter, Fançois-Paul Journe, and Denis Flageollet!

The adorned “Zenith Daytonas” are certainly among the highly desired neo-vintage Rolex models. Zenthi Daytonas were produced from circa 1988 until 2000. OMEGA Speedmaster “Ed White” 105.003-65 Unpolished

It is no secret that I love vintage OMEGA Speedmasters. You can see the HODINKEE Reference Points video I did on the subject with Ben Clymer.

This is an amazing reference 105.003, also referred to as the “Ed White” as it was famously worn by the astronaut. The watch dates to circa 1965. It is powered by the iconic calibre 321, which was recently re-released and garnered great reception and excitement from a large portion of watch collectors. The dimensions are 38.5mm in diameter (or 48mm lug-to-lug) with a lug width of 19mm. The case appears to be unpolished. The dial features tritium lume that has turned warm in color.

Rolex Explorer II Ref 1655.

Rolex introduced the Explorer II reference 1655 for use by spelunkers (cave diving) and speleologists (cave researchers) where the use of a 24-hour hand is important for the wearer to be able to differentiate between night and day. These watches also have the nickname ‘Freccione’ meaning ‘big arrow’ in Italian and are sometimes falsely called the “Steve McQueen” despite no evidence he ever owned or wore one. A slow seller when initially released, the reference 1655 has gained a cult following due its unusual and distinctive design. The reference 1655 is one of the references I am asked most often to find for collectors.

This example is an attractive Explorer II reference 1655. It dates to circa late 1979 (6.34 million serial number). The case has been polished but it attractive.

TUDOR HODINKEE Unique Piece Black Bay 58 Ref 79030N Full Set Unpolished

This is a very special TUDOR HODINKEE Black Bay 58 piece unique with a HODINKEE case-back engraving. The watch was presented in 2023 for a charitable raffle supporting the Horological Society of New York. HODINKEE raised a great deal of money for the charity and it was very inspiring.

It features signs of light wear and scratches, but it is unpolished.

I will never forget seeing my first TUDOR Black Bay 58 on the wrist of Jason Fried in Chicago many years ago, and I was floored by the watch.

The lug design on this model are very attractive from both straight forward and the profile. The dial is made by Fabrique de Cadran Stern Frères and is a beautiful two-tone silver dial. This example has my personal favorite dial configuration with similar numerals found in the Rolex "Padellone", Rolex Oyster reference 6426, Rolex Oyster reference 6082, Rolex Precision reference 4583, certain Movado M95 chronographs and St. Christopher coin watches.

The watch was produced in 1950. It comes with an Extract from The Archives.

The watch does not come with box and papers. We do not know the service history but it is running well.
