Financial Times: Aly & AJ Michalka's Vintage Watches

Kate Youde recently wrote the article ‘My Favourite Pieces: the vintage watches that strike a chord for Aly & AJ’ highlighting watches from Wind Vintage.

“A watch AJ wears a lot on stage is her Patek Philippe. She bought it from the sisters’ go-to dealer, Eric Wind, of Wind Vintage in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2020 to mark the making of their album A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then into the Sun (2021)..

According to AJ, the Swiss watchmaker gave the yellow gold piece to the French aviator Henri-Laurent Daillière to mark a record-breaking seaplane flight from Cherbourg in France to Ziguinchor in Senegal in June 1935, which is commemorated with an engraving on the case-back.”
